Mangalagaur Activity

Managala Gaur is one of the most anticipated celebrations in the month of Shravan, particularly for the new Maharashtrian brides. It is celebrated with equal fervour by the women folk of all ages in the community. The day is marked by traditional dresses, puja, singing, dancing, traditional delicacies, games and of course, ukhane wherein the married women take their husband’s name through short rhymes.
Windsor Shelters has always valued traditional events as means of bonding with our customers, acknowledging their trust, participating in their happiness and praying for their good health and prosperity.
This year, Manasawini involved the women folk through special dances that contribute to their physical and mental well-being.
Adding to the spirit of celebrations were special awards for the Best Maharashtrain attire and Best Ukhane.
The winner of the Best Maharashtrain Attire was Monali Wasudev Joshi while the Best Ukhane came from Neha Bodake they were felicitated by gift through Manjari Tai & Executive Director of Windsor Shelters Sapna Mahesh Rathi.
We felicities Manjari Tai, Head of Manaswini Group with a shawl and Shreephal (Coconut).
Need we say, the members of Maple Woodz who are also the members of the over 4500-strong Windsor Shelters family had a memorable day! They were all praise for the organizers of Maple Woodz Team.
All in all, it was a collective effort that made the event successful.
